Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the great Opera Legend Maria Callas. I became a fan of Maria's about a year ago, and though i dont considor myself to be an opera expert, i just adore Marias voice. Her vocals to me are outstanding and the power of her voice and stage presence is just mezmerising. I am also fascinated by Marias life story, i think i mentioined in an other entry that i am reading a biography on her. It is a great read and a huge page turner. Marias life was like a rollarcoaster, she had tremendous career highs reaching the pinical of her artistry but also had to deal with real sadness in her personal life. I highly recomend to any music fans out there to read up on Maria or even take a look at some of the wonderful videos of her on youtube your in for a real treat.
